Students will be  able to learn and participate in various California State and National Based Visual and Performing Arts Standards. Students will explore, examine and apply their knowledge of foundational musical theater vocabulary; respond spontaneously to different types of music and rhythms; explore musical theater historical content; make judgements on how the art of acting, singing, and dancing can be used in various ways; and apply their theater knowledge towards their learning in other subject areas such as English and Social Studies.

In addition, they will explore the daily protocols and procedures of learning within the theater room, and also RIASEC application within their various theater activities and curricula. Students will reflect on their personal strengths and weaknesses to help them decide which professional path best suits their individual interests.

SUPPORT OUR PROGRAM!

Once a year we hold an online fundraiser to help raise funds for our program and student needs. Typically this online fundraiser will be in the fall to help with the whole academic year of needs for the program. This year our fundraiser starts September 4th and goes to October 3rd to meet our goal!
Any support given makes a gigantic impact on the lives of the students who love and care for this program. Thank you for supporting our LCC students!

Being a new program, we do not yet have a consistent donor base. We are seeking local businesses that would like to support our program with any level donation they can make. In return, we will publicize and promote their businesses in our programs and at our events.
